Hey Meteor Community!

There are some incredible improvements on
the way that will enhance your Meteor experience.
Our team has been hard at work, and today,
I'm happy to talk about our recent
Meteor 3.0 beta releases and some big
developments coming your way in Q2 of 2024.

Meteor 3.0 Beta Launches
Last month was a milestone for us as we released two new beta versions of Meteor 3.0, each packed with features and improvements to improve your development process.
Meteor 3.0-beta.4 brought in ARM Support, making Meteor 3.0 runnable on Raspberry Pi, AWS Graviton, and all ARM-based Linux machines. Plus, we've updated Meteor to MongoDB 7.
Meteor 3.0-beta.6 saw updates to Node (v20.11.1) and npm (v10.2.4), ensuring your development environment is powered by the latest and greatest. Additionally, Push to Deploy on Galaxy supports Meteor 3.0, making your deployments to Galaxy a breeze alongside the CLI command.

Thanks to your help and feedback,
both versions also squashed many bugs!

Revamped Galaxy On The Way
First off, let's dive into Galaxy. We've given it a total overhaul, focusing on making your app deployment as smooth as possible. The new UI is not just about good looks; it's about making your life easier with a unified system where Meteor Cloud Dashboard and Galaxy became one. Presenting an enhanced deployment process, easier user management, improved app pages, and easier app settings management.

Production MongoDB Support Is Coming to Galaxy
Next up, we're expanding our horizons with MongoDB support for your production applications. This means you can leverage MongoDB's powerful features directly within your Meteor apps, deployed or not in Galaxy, offering optimized performance inside a unified platform. This will make your tools and billing management a lot easier with a smooth deployment for your Meteor.js apps.

Galaxy and Monti APM: A Winning Combination
In our continuous effort to provide the best tools for our developers, we are partnering with Monti APM, a leading application performance monitoring tool. This new integration means that Galaxy will start offering Monti APM for applications on the Professional Plan, replacing our current Meteor APM. Monti APM is designed to give developers deeper insights into their applications, enabling you to monitor performance, debug issues, and track errors more effectively.
